Dehradun District Magistrate Ravinath Raman has directed oil companies to resolve the questions being raised by domestic gas consumers regarding the subsidy. He said this while chairing a meeting to discuss the status of DBTl, domestic lPG supply, subsidy and related issues with managers of IOC and Bharat Petroleum, lead bank manager and lPG agency representatives on Wednesday.

The DM said that the customers, who had submitted their bank details and CTC form to their agencies between January 1 and 31, 2015 or those customers whose cash transfer compliance has been completed would receive their subsidy amounts in their accounts. Raman directed the lead bank manager Nihal Chandra to undertake effective measures to facilitate CTC procedure of the customers.

The work of collecting detailed data from customers for provision of domestic gas subsidy should be completed soon, he directed. Stating that Aadhar card is not mandatory, he asked customers to complete the DBTl process without delay by furnishing their bank details to the agency. The DM directed the gas agencies to provide the bank details of customers to the banks on time so that customers do not face problems in receiving the subsidy.

The gas agencies should also update the data of DBTl completed so far and submit this to the oil companies. Those customers, who have not completed their DBTl so far, should be informed by the agencies to get it done by February. Raman also directed that customers who have not completed DBTl yet should be informed that they will receive subsidised cylinders only till March 31. The DM has appealed to such customers to submit their DBTl forms without further delay.

Appealing the lPG customers to take the computerised gas receipt, he directed the agencies to provide only computerised receipts to customers. He directed all the gas agencies to ensure that customers telephoning the agency are talked to properly and their doubts resolved and also to facilitate gas booking on the phone systematically.

The DM discussed in detail the availability of DBTl forms, problems being faced by gas agencies and phone booking system among other issues. He said that at the time of securing a connection, the customer should not be forced to purchase a stove and that the agencies should ensure that their telephones are in working order.

Considering the possibility of increased pressure resulting from arrival of tourists, the DM directed the IOC sales manager Rohan Dala and Bharat Petroleum manager Sumit Sharma to ensure adequate availability of commercial lPG cylinders.
