Dehradun district magistrate Chandresh Kumar pulled up the district officers for failing to spend funds released under various Government-sponsored schemes in the district.
Kumar reviewed district plan, state plan and twenty- point programmes with the district officers at Collectorate in Dehradun on Tuesday and instructed them to ensure that the funds released under various developmental schemes are spent without delay.
Kumar expressed disappointment at the slow pace of the execution of development schemes inspite of the funds being released by the State Government. Funds approved under the various schemes should be released by adopting simple policy. DM pilloried the officers of Public Works Department, Jal Nigam, Jal Sansthan and other departments for having failed to spend the released funds on time.
