Dehradun District Magistrate BVRC Purushottam pulled up departmental officials for not spending the funds released under various plans. Reviewing the progress in the execution of works under the district, State and central plans, the DM expressed dissatisfaction at some of the departments not spending the released funds.
He directed the chief development officer to seek clarification from officers of such departments and instructed the officials to utilise the funds completely before the upcoming three-tier Panchayat election failing which action will taken against the officers responsible.
Officers of various departments including Public Works Department (PWD), Peyjal Nigam, Social Welfare department and others were instructed to regularly submit progress report of their projects and promote the schemes by organising camps in the month of January. Among those present in the meeting were CDO Jyoti Neeraj Khairwal and officers of various departments.
