Dehradun DM Ravinath Raman denied reports published in a section of the Press that rituals of purification are being performed in the temple. “This is utterly false,” he said. “Police and intelligence staff remain deployed adequately at temple campus and other parts of the region. They have been directed to be alert. Investigation is on and based in its report, the anti -social elements would be stopped from disturbing the harmony of the region. We would not brook some people playing politics over a non-issue as there is no ban on a Dalit from entering any temple in the region,” DM added.
