PNS

To remove the encroachment from the government lands in Dehradun district, the district administration has commenced the procedure to reclaim the possessions of all such lands. In the last few days, the administration has already removed the encroachment from the six bigha land in Majri Grant at Doiwala and three hectares land in Amwala Uparla area on the directions of district magistrate Ashish Kumar Shrivastava. According to sources, there are several plots of government lands in the district which are not under the active possession of the authorities. Some of such plots are being used by some people for commercial purposes for several years, as per the sources. On the question of how many more government lands are there in Dehradun which have been encroached by such people, Shrivastava said that the officials are preparing a list of all the government lands and soon the procedure to remove the encroachment from these lands will begin.

It is pertinent to mention here that several lands of the administration have been left unmarked in various areas of the Dehradun district but now, the district administration has started marking the area after reclaiming the possession of the lands like by setting up a temporary boundary in the six bigha land in Majri Grant on Thursday.
