The meeting of PCC office bearers and heads of Congress’ frontal organisations focused on discussing the recent political developments in Uttarakhand saw the discipline factor among party leaders in play. While Chief Minister Harish Rawat, former Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh and PCC chief Kishore Upadhyay were addressing a Press conference during the meeting, party’s attendees at he back of the hall continued to talk loudly disturbing the address. One of these members also shouted to “clear the people (media) blocking their view” of the leaders seated on the stage.
Groups of attendees and their supporters continued to converse and joke irrespective of the Press conference underway. When the noise of gossiping party workers got too loud, PCC office bearers including its vice president Jot Singh Bisht signaled and even told the attendees to keep silent instead of causing audio disturbance.
This had temporary effect on the party members who soon resumed their conversations on various issues political and non-political till the conclusion of the Press conference and beyond.
