Itti Si Baat, a book written by DIG SK Shukla was released in a programme held at police line in Dehradun on Sunday. The author has highlighted the social, legal and political aspects of rural India and suggested some solutions.

The book highlights the story of two friends who are neighbours in Sundarpur village of North India. They share their pain, joy, dilemma, and problems they go through in daily life but are forced to go to court over a minor dispute. Interacting with media on the occasion, Shukla said that the people of the country have limited resources but they have expectations from the system. “In the system, there are shortcomings and advantages. Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anil Raturi, DAV (PG) College associate professor Dr RV Singh and IG Deepam Seth presented a literary analysis of the story. A writer, through the power of his words, could play an important role in eradicating negative practices from society and building a healthy society.
