lPG consumers would receive subsidy in their bank accounts with the Aadhar numbers being linked to their bank accounts. However, the consumers who do not have Aadhar numbers can receive subsidy directly to their bank a/cs without the use of Aadhar number.

Kumar said that there would be a ‘grace period’ of three months, that is, from January 1, 2015to March 31, during which the consumers who have not yet joined the scheme will continue to get cylinders at subsidised rates.
