Delay in CR hinders promotion of lecturers

PNS

The delay in the arrival of the Confidential Reports (CR) from their respective districts is hindering the process of promotions of lecturers in the School Education Department of Uttarakhand. The process of promotions of lecturers to Principal/ headmasters and lecturer Teachers (lT) to the posts of lecturers is pending for quite some time. There are about 2800 such posts which would be filled by departmental promotions.  It is worth mentioning here that the department would recruit qualified unemployed graduates in the vacant posts of lT and lecturers as Guest Faculty in this month only but these recruitments would be made only when the process of promotions in the department is over.

The Chief Education Officers (CEO) would get the exact details of vacant seats to be filled under guest faculty scheme after the promotions are over. It is worth mentioning here that Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat and Education Minister Mantri Prasad Naithani are keen to fill the vacant posts of teachers so that the academic environment in the schools of state is not hindered. The recruitment of guest faculties could be hampered as pending CRs of some of the teachers is hindering the departmental promotion process. The Director of Secondary Education RK Kunwar said he had directed his officials that CR of these teachers should reach the Education Directorate by June 12 so that the pending work on promotions is completed.
