Following the Opposition’s, especially former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank’s sarcastic comment that State is facing tough time due to disaster so the State should have avoided such show off, Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that by facilitating warm welcome to Prince Charles we have managed to send message across the globe that the State is safe for tourism even after devastation due to cloudburst on June 16-17.
As you know that due to Charles visit entire international media were giving special attention to this region. We would not have managed to get such huge publicity even after spending million of rupees. Without naming Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay, who had also criticised such lavish facilitation to Prince Charles, CM Bahuguna also advised them to refrain from doing politics all the time. It would be better to do politics at the time of election only. Although he also appealed them to give advise to the State about how the State can do better by utilising all available resources.
