Demanding action by Maharashtra Government against persons involved in attack on Dalits at Bhima Koregaon near Pune, some outfits in Uttarakhand like Samvaidhanik Adhikar Sanrakshan Manch, Bharatiya Shudra Sangh, Dr Ambedkar Mahasabha and Bharatiya Ekta Mission staged a demonstration in Dehradun and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President on Thursday. They threatened to start an agitation in Uttarakhand if no action is taken in the case. They alleged that attacks on Dalits were still taking place in the country.
They are insecure in Uttarakhand too, averred the protesters.
