Adequate police force will be deployed within the college campus and the city for peaceful conduct of counting of votes in the DAV (PG) College scheduled to be held on Friday.
Victory rallies of victorious candidates will be restricted to Karanpur Chowk. Two constables will be deployed at each petrol pump in the city, said Dehradun SSP Kewal Khurana on Thursday. Victory rallies will not be allowed in other parts of the city and no one will be allowed to take law in their hands at any cost, he added. Police have been directed to be vigilant and take action on those indulging in triple riding, drunken driving, riders without helmet and those creating nuisance.
