Incident of nine students fleeing from a school three days ago has acted as an eye opener for the police that has geared up to ensure foolproof security arrangements in the schools.
As part of it, police on Wednesday served notices to the schools, asking them to give details about security measures in the schools within next three-day.
The police have asked to give details as follows — What are the security arrangements, whether CCTV installed, rules to issue out pass for boys and girls, whether girls/ boys are allowed to have mobile phone, whether security guards have been deployed, what is system for gate pass, what precautions are taken while given permission for going out to the girls and boys, what is role and responsibility of the warden, timing of turning off the light and roll call/ identification of the students go out in groups, number of parents teacher meeting, activities of students, identification of hotels and restaurants students often visit, whether any case of drug consumption was reported ever and action was ensured in such instance , whether objectionable sites are locked, and the cyber cafes students often visit.
