Police have failed to identify the headless and naked body so far which was recovered from the Cant area nearby Raj Bhawan on November 13. Meanwhile, the police collected scientific evidence from the site. Different angles are being investigated to crack the case and even Homicide Investigation Cell (HIC) has been deployed to solve the case. This was claimed by State Director General of Police BS Sidhu on Saturday.
Sidhu said that culprit from neighbouring districts might have thrown the headless and naked body in the area. If it is true then it has raised question mark that how can anybody dare to desert the dead body in such area where Army and police patrol round the clockIJ If a criminal desert a dead body then any untoward incident may happen in future in the area.
In view of this, several police teams were formed and deployed at various places including Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Bijnor, Saharanpur, Haridwar and other places to know whether a report was lodged about a woman missing. The newly formed homicide investigation cell (HIC) has also been deployed for solving this case. locals and those frequenting the area are being questioned. Several methods are being applied to solve the case soon," he added.
HIC inspector Dinesh Chandra Baunthiyal said that the post-mortem report of the headless woman revealed that she was pregnant of seven to eight months. Woman was died due to inside wound of the neck. She was in the age group of 28 to 35. She was murdered around five to 10 days ago.
