The Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee will felicitate the newly-elected office-bearers of the State legal Council, Uttarakhand, and the Dehradun Bar Association on Thursday. Other advocates will also be felicitated on the occasion. The PCC chief coordinator Jot Singh Bisht informed the lawyers of Uttarakhand had played an important role in the Uttarakhand Statehood movement. The lawyers had not only played an active role in the Statehood movement but had also advocated for Statehood activists in court for free. Bisht said the felicitation of lawyers would be held at 2 pm at the Congres Bhawan with PCC chief Kishore Upadhyaya slated to preside over the event while Chief Minister Harish Rawat would be the chief guest on the occasion.
