The State Congress would celebrate the 72nd birthday of the former Congress president and the chairperson of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Sonia Gandhi as ‘Communal Harmony Day’ on Sunday.
Informing the State party vice- president Surya Kant Dhasmana said on Saturday that the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh has taken the decision to celebrate birthday of Sonia Gandhi in an appropriate manner in view of the BJP’s desperate bid to polarise the people on the communal lines. He further said that Singh has directed all the district party chiefs to organise seminars on the occasion.
