On the call given by the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, the party leaders and workers would hold a protest march to Raj Bhawan here on Monday. Gandhi has asked Congressmen in all the states to march to their respective Governor houses and register strong protest over the three farm bills passed by the parliament recently. After the march the party leaders would submit a memorandum to the governor Baby Rani Maurya.
On Sunday the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh held meetings with senior Congress leaders and assigned responsibilities to them for the protest. The party has decided to make the event grand and for purpose has asked all senior leaders to ensure a good attendance in the march.
It has asked all former Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament, present Rajya Sabha MP, all MLAs, former MLAs, all candidates of Lok Sabha elections of 2019, all candidates of 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections, all office bearers of PCC, members of AICC and PCC, presidents of all frontal organisations of party, district and Mahanagar Congress president and others to take part in the March.
