Taking a strong exception to Congress leaders protesting declaration of the State Government granting two percent Dearness Allowance (DA) to its employees, the State Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP) has termed it as an example of anti people thought process of the Congress party. A delegation of Congress party leaders had met the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Uttarakhand Saujanya on Thursday and protested grant of DA to the employees and termed it as violation of model code of conduct. On Friday, the media in-charge of BJP, Devendra Bhasin said that the Congress’s protest is a clear indicator of its anti people mindset. He said that the grant of DA does not amount to violation of model code of conduct as DA is paid as per the formula set up by the Union Government and this year it was pending since January. Terming the increase of DA as part of routine, Bhasin said that it does not amount to luring the voters. He added that the truth is that the Congress leaders are distressed by the works of public interests and this mindset prompted the congress leaders before the CEO and lodge protest on grant of two percent DA.
