The Congress members staged a walkout while protesting against their not being provided the hard copy of the Budget.
As soon as the department-wise Budget were placed for discussion in the Assembly on the day the Congress members were up on their feet, claiming that the Government had not cared to provide them with the hard copy of the Budget.
Leading the Congress show in the House, the leader of the Opposition (LoP) Indira Hridayesh said that the members had not been provided with the pen drives of the Budget on Friday. “How can we then go through the Budget?” she asked. The Congress members argued that since they had not gone through the Budget document, they were not in a position to participate in the discussion on it.
The Congress members stormed out of the House and remained away from the remainder of the proceedings of the day.
