'Cong, BJP have looted the State'

GP Semwal

The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Panwar faction) candidate from Garhwal Parliamentary constituency Anoop Negi said that both Congress and BJP have done nothing for the development of the State and that the successive State Governments headed by these two national parties have looted the State.

Stating that the successive State Governments headed by these national parties had wreaked destruction in the name of facilitating development in Uttarakhand, Negi said that these parties had failed to achieve the aims for which Uttarakhand was created.

“The State Government has adopted an apathetic attitude towards the victims of last year’s disaster with many of the victims still facing hardships about 10 months after disaster struck last year. The condition of roads on the Char Dham Yatra circuit has yet to improve as desired while migration of the people from mountainous regions to the plains has also continued due to the failure of the Congress-led State to take effective measures for preventing this.

The youth are migrating to the plains in search of employment while the disaster affected persons are migrating in search of safer accommodation. The condition of mountainous districts has not changed with people still facing acute problems.
