To get the run-away fasting ascetic Brahmachari Atmabodhanand readmitted in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Rishikesh, the sub divisional magistrate Manish Kumar had a verbal altercation with Matri Sadan founder Swami Shivanand on Saturday night. The administration team had to return empty handed since Atmabodhanand had remained in a closed room. On Sunday after the team of doctors from district hospital examined the ascetic, they reported that his condition did not require hospitalisation.
Meanwhile, Brahmachari Atmabodhanand alleged that his health was deteriorating in the hospital rather than improving. He averred that he complained to the doctors in AIIMS but no one listened to them. “So after informing one doctor, I came from the hospital to Matri Sadan on Saturday afternoon. The way Nigamanand was killed as part of a conspiracy, they had plans to kill me too,” alleged Atmabodhanand.
Swami Shivanand alleged that if Atmabodhanand had not managed to run away from the hospital, he would have been killed too as the district administration has been a “murderer” and getting fasting ascetics murdered.
Meanwhile SDM Manish Kumar said that to save the life of Atmabodhanand, he was earlier admitted in AIIMS hospital. Speaking to The Pioneer he said, “Without informing the doctors, the ascetic ran away from the hospital. We at the administrative level are making attempt to give him better treatment to save his life. We shall definitely probe in to the matter why he had to run away from the hospital.”
Narrating the whole incident Brahmachari Dayanand of Matri Sadan alleged that just the way late Swami Gyan Swaroop Sanand (professor G D Agarwal) was killed after him being shown with low potassium, the doctors at AIIMS Rishikesh had plans to kill Atmabodhanand showing low blood platelets. He said that the pathological tests done by the doctors of district hospital clearly show marked improvement in the health of Atmabodhanand within few hours. “As compared to medical report by AIIMS, the report given by district hospital is good. Although the ashram has been seized since yesterday by district authorities and we are not allowed to eat or cook. The blood platelets’ count improved from 64000 to one lakh.”
Dayanand further said that the SDM Manish Kumar has been in the ashram all the time during the medical tests of Brahmachari Atmabodhanand and he has affirmed on the basis of the medical report by district hospital that there is no need of hospitalisation of the ascetic as on Sunday.
