Children of Shri Shraddhanand Bal Vanita Ashram celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying Rakhi and offering sweets to each other. Few social activists and leaders also reached the ashram and presented sweets to the children who tied them Rakhis.
Sneha of the Ashram tied Rakhi to Ramzan Ali and offered him sweet. She also extended congratulation to him. Several other children of the ashram tied the Rakhi to Ali. Ali announced that the Muslim Rashtriya Manch would celebrate the festival with the children every year. Congress leader & Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna's son Saket Bahuguna and Rajpur Road MlA Rajkumar, on Tuesday evening, visited the Ashram. They spent time with the children and distributed sweets among them.
The two leaders spend around half an hour with the children who turned emotional after getting the sweets. Children also tied Rakhis to one another. The two leaders promised to attend the marriage of an ashram girl, who is about to tie a knot in the month of November, when they were apprised of it. Several other people visited the ashram and met the children.
