The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, who was undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, was discharged on Saturday. The physician of the CM, Dr N S Bisht, said that Rawat is healthy and all his reports are normal. He added that the CM would remain in isolation in his Delhi based home for some days.

Rawat was found positive for Covid-19 on December 18 along with his wife and daughter. On December 28 he was airlifted to the AIIMS, New Delhi, after he complained of fever. He was initially admitted in Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital on December 27 where his CT scan indicated mild infection in the lungs. On the advice of doctors he was shifted to AIIMS, New Delhi for further check up and expert advice. The doctors were worried as the CM developed fever on the tenth day after getting infected with Covid-19. His CT score which was zero initially increased to five after some days.
