Chief Minister Harish Rawat has condoled the loss of lives in vehicle accidents in Bhikiyasain of Almora district and Kandisaud of Tehri district on Thursday. CM conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. He also wished speedy recovery to the injured person.
CM directed the DM Almora and Tehri to provide approved relief fund and all possible aid to the bereaved families immediately who have lost their near and dear ones as well as medical assistance to the injured on priority basis.
According to information received from State Emergency Operation Centre a Tata Sumo carrying nine passengers met with an accident and fell down in a gorge on Thursday morning around 7:00 am near Basaut in Bhikiyasain of Almora leading to the loss of three lives and injury to six people. In Tehri District a Tata Sumo carrying 11 passengers met with an accident and fell down in a gorge on Thursday afternoon around 12:12 pm near Kandisaud leading to the loss of three lives and injury to eight people.
