Addressing the people during the event, CM Rawat said, “The skill given to the youth should be in a way that they can further give employment to others. It is very important that the students get in-depth information about the new technologies. Our government has been working on various projects that can generate jobs for people. We are working to set up more growth centres in the state along with two other projects of solar energy plants and pine leaf scheme for which tender have been sorted. Around 143 items are being made by pine. We should use the raw materials we have and give skill to our people.”
The state minister for labour and skill development Harak Singh Rawat said, “The private corporative firms should also help the government to provide various skills to the youth of the state. This centre would ensure the placement of the students. We too have Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in the state which have 14000 seats and only 7000 students are studying in these institutes. While we ensure 70 per cent placement this centre promises 100 per cent placement which would definitely provide a good future for our youth.”
