While attending a programme hosted by Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Sewa Pratisthan to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya at IRDT auditorium on Survey Chowk on Tuesday, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Upadhyaya laid emphasis on the development of each and every one of the society. “This is what his philosophy known as integral humanism signifies.

Not a single person should be left out as far as the welfare schemes are concerned. This is the message the ideologue has left for us. We are following the ideals laid down by him while working for the development,” CM said. “He embodies cleanliness in political and social life besides Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he added.

Former Union Minister and veteran BJP leader Dr Murli Manohar Joshi said that Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya had worked on the concept of integral humanism. “Integral humanism is related to microcosm, creation and glory. The human is related to the society naturally and associated to one another and dependent upon one another.

Everybody is for all and all is for everybody.   Without the development of the entire society, the planned development can hardly be imagined,” he said.

Dwelling on the balanced view of development the ideologue championed, Dr Joshi said that Upadhyaya stressed on blending  development with  environment. “There is need to develop technology, but it has to be kept in mind that development of technology should not disturb the environmental balance.

Development must be balanced in tune with the importance of conservation of environment,” he said.

Participating in the programme, the State Finance Minister Prakash Pant said that there is a need to further propagate the philosophy of integral humanism given by   Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. Among others present were the BJP state president Ajay Bhatt and MLA Harbans Kapoor.
