The former president of Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), Dr Ved Prakash Tyagi, has alleged forgery and largescale malpractices in the elections of CCIM- 2016.

Addressing newsmen here on Monday said that Additional Secretary AYUSH, J B Oli was appointed as election officer CCIM- 2016. Dr Tyagi alleged that Oli colluded with Registrar of Uttarakhand Ayurveda University Mrityunjay Mishra and others to change the outcome of the election. He said that the Mishra with the help of Dr Ramakant Sharma, Navneet Kaushik and Deepak Jyoti Kotiyal printed duplicate ballot papers and replaced the original ones in the office of election officer.

Dr Tyagi alleged that when a complaint was registered then CCIM appointed Richard Daniel as investigation officer (IO) and when on March 28, 2017 the IO arrived in Dehradun and sought physical verification of ballot papers, the election officer Oli refused access citing that the matter is in court. Dr Tyagi said there is difference in colour and signatures on the original and duplicate ballot papers which clearly show criminal conspiracy to rig the elections.
