A case was filed against the Gadarpur MlA Arvind Pandey at the Bazpur police station by the Udham Singh Nagar police on Wednesday for allegedly threatening SDM and CO, Bazpur, Udham Singh Nagar, in connection with the counting of votes of the recently concluded three tier panchayat polls across theState.
According to the Udham Singh Nagar police, the Gadarpur MlA was threatening the SDM and CO, Bazpur of dire consequences ‘in case any irregularity is found in counting of votes of the panchayat polls’. A case has been registered against the Gadarpur MlA Arvind Pandey under section 153 (AA), 186, 353, 504, 341 at the Bazpur police station, said Ridhim Aggarwal, SSP , Udham Singh Nagar, while talking to The Pioneer. The MlA from Gadarpur threatened the SDM and CO, Bazpur of dire consequences in case irregularities are found in counting of votes to be held on June 27, added the SSP, Udham Singh Nagar.
The MlA concerned was accompanied by about 150 supporters and he was also instigating his supporters, the SSP further said. It is to note the counting of votes of the recently concluded have to be held on June 27 in the State.
