Shiromani Akali Dal on Sunday strongly condemned Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh’s statement wherein he “used indecent and threatening language against the Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and members of his family”.
“From the tone and tenor of the statement, it becomes clear that sensing crushing defeat, Capt Amarinder has gone berserk,” said SAD secretary and spokesman Daljit Singh Cheema. He said that his statement shows that he had no positive agenda accept vendetta politics in which he indulges during the previous tenure as Chief Minister. “It appears that even after remaining out of power for last complete ten years, Capt Amarinder has not learnt any lesson from the history,” he said.
“The punishment people gave him for 10 years was only because of his arrogance, revenge and vendetta unleashing on the opposition as the Chief Minister of the state,” he said. Cheema said SAD leaders are not afraid of Capt Amarinder’s “bogus threats” and he should stop day dreaming that he is going to be the CM in the times to come.
