Canara Bank celebrated its 109th Foundation Day on Wednesday. On this occasion, a blood donation camp was organised at its circle office in Dehradun. The DGM, Jagjit Singh, other executives and staff members of the circle and branches participated and donated blood for the cause. During the camp, over 40 members donated their blood, it is learnt.
On this occasion, under its CSR activity, Canara Bank also donated 109 uniforms among the poor children of Swami Shantanand Memorial School Dehradun and Sanatan Dharm Girls’ International College, Mussoorie.
The nationalised bank also opened two branches in various districts of Uttarakhand on Wednesday, namely Rudraprayag and Gopeshwar.
CP Mohan, CGM, NABARD, inaugurated the new premises of Dehradun Rajpur Road II Branch. This apart, Umesh Sharma, MlA, Dehradun inaugurated new premises of Dehradun Ajbpur Kalan Branch and Dehradun Banjarawala Branch the same day. Now, Canara Bank has 76 branches across Uttarakhand.
