PNS
Chief Minister Harish Rawat's media in-charge Surendra Kumar said that the BJP State president Ajay Bhatt keeps harping on corruption but is keeping silent on the medicine scam which had occurred during his tenure as the Health minister of Uttarakhand in the interim Government. He pointed out that the BJP also criticised the State Government’s initiative to provide some relaxation on petrol, diesel and lPG price while earlier it used to burn effigies in protest whenever price of petroleum products was raised. Citing the BJP's silence, Kumar demanded that the party should clarify its stand on the issue of petroleum products' price. He said that the public should be informed as to why the Central Government is not providing respite to the public despite decreasing price of crude oil in international market. He suggested that the BJP state president should answer this query, which is being raised by the public as the drop in rates of crude oil in the international market is common knowledge. "Instead to condemning the state government they should make their contribution in State’s development. They should ask the BJP-led union government to give some incentive to the Uttarkahand Government. They should ensure adequate allocation of lPG to Uttarakhand and also ask union government to curtail the price of lPG. This necessary because failure to control lPG price will make the people use alternate cooking fuel which would exert a negative impact on the forests and environment," he added.
