BJP national general secretary Dr Anil Jain asked the people to vote BJP to power from the Panchayat to the Parliament at least thrice. “This is an imperative for the nation to develop in the way it should with BJP being the only party left to take the nation ahead,” he said while addressing the BJP’s state functionaries in Dehradun on Tuesday.
He also urged the party’s booth level workers to attentively listen to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's programme on AIR- Man Ki Baat. “Those who listen to them get charged to work for the nation,” he added.
Dr Jain was in the state on a two- day visit. On Monday, he had visited Kumaon while on Tuesday, he addressed the party office bearers in Dehradun. “BJP is now running the governments both in the Centre and the state. Currently, 58 percent of the country’s geographical areas is under the BJP rule. However, we are not satisfied yet. We must try consistently to broaden our bases,” he said.
He warned the party functionaries against indulging in complacency. “What happens is that after a party forms Government a kind of indolence grips the party rank and file. However, electoral victories should inspire us all the more to work for the party,” he said.
He stressed on the role of the booth level party workers “Those assigned with the task of broadening the party’s bases must complete their works by September 25,” Jain said.
State BJP president Ajay Bhatt said that party workers form the bridge between the government and the people. “With the opposition baring fangs, we must rise up to their allegations squarely. A government performing well is not enough. We must reach out to the last man, informing him of the development the government is bringing about for him,” he added.
