Almora parliamentary CPI-Ml candidate Vijay Kumar alleged that residents were facing the brunt of corruption and inflation and BJP and Congress parties will not be able to control inflation. He claimed that CPI-Ml was the only party that could easily keep a tab on corruption, inflation and unemployment in the country.
In a conclave held, where electors from different walks of life including ASHA and Anganwadi workers and activists from different associations participated, Kumar said prices of essential commodities are increasing regularly as Congress-led UPA Government had completely failed to check it.
He also cornered the Union Government for lack of better education system, medical and health facilities, unemployment, suicide attempted by the farmers across the State. He also expressed concern over rising criminal cases against women and added both Congress and BJP lacked vision of the development. He said the Centre had failed to keep a tab on malnutrition cases among the children despite the fact that more than six decades has passed since India got its Independence.
He also accused Congress for not taking prompt action for redressing the grievances of all those villagers who faced the brunt of natural calamities in the state. Earlier, the members also paid tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar.
