The Bharat Heavy Electricals limited (BHEl) and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) signed a memorandum of understanding for joint working on projects related to water and waste water treatment in the municipal segment, in the presence of Amitabh Mathur, director (IS&P), BHEl and NEERI director Rakesh Kumar.
According to a statement issued by the BHEl, CSIR-NEERI as technology partner and BHEl as technology developer and implementer, will generate synergies in implementing large scale projects in the municipal segment by undertaking EPC projects pertaining to waste treatment plants, effluent treatment plants, common effluent treatment plants, natural treatment systems and other similar aspects.
