Two days long 25th Inter Unit Quality Circle Summit –2014 started at BHEl Haridwar on Wednesday. It is being attended by participating quality circle teams of various units of BHEl from throughout the country.
The silver jubilee convention was inaugurated by PK Bajpai, BHEl’s Director (Finance) and WVK Krishna Shankar, Director (IS&P). Both the directors emphasised on the importance of development of task performers and their role in achieving excellence of processes and explained the importance of 5S.
Prakash Chand, Executive Director (HEEP), BHEl Haridwar, said “our dedicated and competent employees are our real strength and through the forum of quality circles, are continuously bringing laurels for the company”.
SVS Narayana Executive Director (CFFP) motivated the employees to perform their best and make BHEl a leading power equipment company in the world.
Sant Kumar, General Manager (Quality) HEEP also stated the need of team work to meet the challenges before BHEl Haridwar. K Purswani, GM (I), Corporate Quality presented an overview of the QC movement in BHEl and about Swachchh Bharat Mission.
He also read out a motivational message on behalf of BHEl CMD, B Prasada Rao. In his message, Rao emphasized the importance of “Zero defects” for better quality of BHEl products.
A total of 50 Quality Circle teams from 15 units of BHEl spread all over the country are participating in this convention. Studies presented covered all the facets of industry including manufacturing, support services like maintenance, quality, engineering, and Technology.
Rahul Bansal, AGM (BEX &RMX) presented the vote of thanks. Various other GMs, senior officials of BHEl, representatives of unions and associations and departmental employees were also present on the occasion.
