PNS

The member of All India Congress Committee and in-charge of Congress in Uttarakhand, Anugrah Narayan Singh, has said that the people of the country should remain alert to Pseudo -Gandhism. He was addressing the party workers on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi here on Wednesday.

He said that nowadays Gandhisim is being associated with only cleanliness which is unfortunate. Singh said that the Gandhi’s philosophy for life is being ignored. The Congress leader said that the philosophy of Gandhi is being followed in the whole world but in India this is being ignored. He expressed surprise that Godse is being glorified by certain sections which is unacceptable. The in- charge of Uttarakhand Congress said that the BJP should first expel the sympathisers of Godse first before talking about Gandhi and his philosophy because both things cannot go hand in hand. He added that a narrative is being established that there were serious differences between Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose which is not true. “Yes there were some differences between them but mutual respect was deep rooted. Netaji while exhorting the volunteers of Indian National Army (INA) had said that while he (Bose) is their commander here but once INA enters India, Gandhiji would be their commander.’’
