The way for holding exams in the 28 B.Ed colleges affiliated to the Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University is expected to become clear soon.

The university administration has called a meeting of the college directors with necessary documents on October 16 as so far information on management seats and other issues in 25 of the colleges was available preventing the university from declaring the exam schedule. It is hoped that with the meeting of college directors called on Thursday, the examination schedule could also be announced on the same day.

According to information provided by official sources, of the 28 BEd colleges affiliated to the university, the managements of only three colleges have provided details about management seats and other necessary information to the university.

The Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University management does not have details about the college students and the compulsory minimum of 210 days of classes as per National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines. In order to resolve the problem being caused by the lack of information, the university vice chancellor Dr US Rawat has called a meeting of the directors of all the colleges concerned on Thursday. The university deputy registrar Hansraj Bisht informed that with the required information being received from only three BEd colleges so far, the meeting called by the university VC on October 16 will facilitate collection of the required data from the remaining colleges.
