Taking a serious note of encroachment in different parts of Bageshwar city and places adjacent to the Saryu and Gomati river banks, the Bageshwar district administration has decided to strictly deal with the encroachers.
Expressing concern over increasing encroachment cases, Bageshwar District Magistrate, Bhupal Singh Manral, has now directed the officials concerned of PWD, Revenue, zila panchayat and Bageshwar municipal council to identify the encroached upon areas in the city and submit a report in this regard within a week.
He has also asked the officials concerned to strictly deal with the issues related to the illegal construction and encroachment adjacent to main motor roads.
Besides, the Bageshwar District Magistrate has asked the officials concerned of the Bageshwar municipal council to identify land for constructing parking places so that parking problems could be solved. Besides, he has also stressed on the need to maintain city cleanliness with proper garbage disposal.
