'Ayurveda with allopathy boon in viral infections'

RADHIKA NAGRATH

The summer has come and the viral infections are on the rise in the district. All viral diseases including mosquito-borne viral diseases like dengue or H1N1 influenza virus (Swine flu) which take a toll on thousands of lives every year, can be cured with less complications through the combination of allopathic and ayurvedic  herbal nutritive medicines. The mortality rate of dengue is much higher than in Swine flu since haemorrhage occurs in most of the dengue cases which generally leads to multi-organ failure of the patient leading to death but spread of swine flu is giving sleepless nights to the district health department.

Two cases of swine flu have been reported in the district in last month and one case in April this year. The combined critical care of both the pathies can lessen the suffering and gradually cure the patient, claim a few local medical practitioners.

Mortality rate in swine flu is much less but it has become a matter of concern since the number of cases is on rise. Dr Vijay Verma, a paeditrician who has cured 21 dengue cases in his own hospital in a year using herbal nutritive medicines and critical care techniques of modern medicine to maintain vital parameters of a person like oxygen, blood pressure and electrolytes level, claims to have a therapy for these viral diseases.

Speaking to The Pioneer, Vijay said, “Since 1985, I am running this hospital and in the last four years I have developed successful combined critical care with Ayurvedic herbal nutritive medicines. These nutritive herbal medicines are sesame oil based given in ICU condition in critically ill patients. I am using this therapy with modern supportive system without any untoward effects and with excellent speedy recovery.”

Explaining the therapy the doctor says, “The pathophysiology of dengue hemorrhagic fever, EBOlA viral hemorrhagic and Swine Flu is almost same, the herbal nutritive per rectal application proves beneficial in viral patients. I am routinely treating in my small unit of ICU and NICCU serious critical conditions like dengue hemorrhagic fever, rota virus, measles, SSP, influenza virus, hepatitis and others. There is nothing to panic of Swine flu, the combination of Ayurveda can do wonders along with the critical care of Allopathy.”

Dr. Mohit Chaudhry of Integrated child development services in district hospital says, “Every year inspite of proactive measures, two to three deaths are reported because of Swine flu. Efforts are on to integrate the Ayush centre with the allopathic centre so that the patient can get his immune system developed through Ayurvedic concoctions which have no side effects. Allopathic medicines also act instantly when human body has more resistance. ”

In neonates and children this combined critical care with Ayurvedic Panchkarma and Allopathy in ICU is emerging nearly 100 per cent successful and excellent mode of treatment without any side effect or untoward effect.  Now we can treat prematurity, growth failure, jaundice, pneumonia, bronco pneumonia, bronchiolitis, acute gastroentritis, typhoid and malaria with no side effects, adds Vijay.
