Award plan for bravehearts

PNS

In a bid to encourage the PAC Jawans, PAC personnel, best in performance, discipline, and in drill, will be given awards. The PAC commandants of the PAC battalion will decide whether the award would be given quarterly. Orders to this effect have been issued recently.

Uttarakhand PAC’s Deputy Inspector General Sanjay Gunjyal has directed the commandants to start trend of giving awards to the PAC jawans who are doing well in their duty and are well disciplined. The awards should also be given to the jawans whose performance is best during drill. DIG said that the commandants would decide whether the award would be given after every two months or quarterly. “They (commandants) may give the awards every month to the best disciplined jawans and best performers in their duty,” the DIG said.

He said that the ‘Best in Duty’ ‘Best Drill’ and ‘Best Discipline’ award should be conferred on the jawans, who are best in three segments, at each battalion every two months or quarterly. Commandants would select the candidates for the awards.  The award may involve a certificate and an amount of Rs 1,000.  The DIG said that the commandants would decide all this.

“Such a practice on regular basis would encourage the PAC personnel and would promote a healthy completion among them. So, this trend should be started at each battalion,” DIG said, adding that the rewarding good work always brings great results. So, praise the good performance. There are five PAC battalions in Uttarakhand with strength of 5000 personnel.
