After considering the load of emergency and road accident victims, GVKEMRI-108 service has decided to deploy one more life saving hi-tech ambulance in Dehradun district.
The hi-tech life saving ambulance equipped with latest medical equipments along with life saving drugs would be deployed at ISBT, Dehradun. Department officials told that the decision was taken as the flow of emergency cases has been increasing year after year.
It is also equally important to mention here is that fleet of six life saving ambulances are deployed by 108-service in Dehradun district. The life saving ambulances are deployed at Doiwala, Rispana pull, Coronation Hospital, Chander Nagar, Raipur and Prem Nagar. Manish Tinkoo, State Head, GVKEMRI-108 service told that the additional ambulance will be proved beneficial for attending all emergency cases in the district.
The ambulance will also contribute for handing additional load near ISBT and surrounding areas of the district. He claimed that best possible emergency medical assistance has been provided to victims across the State.
Since the Emergency Response Centre (ERC) of the 108-service receives
5,000-6,000 calls per day and out of that 400-450 calls are emergency calls, the fleet of deployed life saving
ambulances keep occupied round the clock for transporting the victims to the Government hospitals in order to save their lives.
