Amidst wide apprehension that serious epidemic might occurred following the natural disaster in the State, another police personnel who shouldered with responsibility to cremate dead bodies in disaster-hit Kedar Valley, fell sick on Friday.
A personal is slated to leave for the valley on Saturday morning from Jolly grant airport, sources said. Stink from the decomposed bodies lying in the area was leaving the jawans with nausea. Some of them were complaining of stomachache and headache. A police personnel, who is part of the team, said that gathering the decomposed bodies was really a tough task. Some of the bodies were so mutilated by the elements and debris that they could not even be shifted to the temporary crematorium.
It may be mentioned that two police personnel, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy SP) and a police constable took ill on Thursday. The duo, however, recovered fast after being admitted to the Himalayan Hospital near Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun.

Meena said that if any pilgrim who fell victim to such incident, he should immediately consult the police. Immediate action would be ensured in the matter.
