In connection with the incident of firing outside advocate Rekha Sharma’s house on Shimla Bypass Road, Patelnagar on Monday night, police have arrested another accused Sintu Kumar, resident of Narsan (Haridwar), on Wednesday who was absconding after the incident. A case under section 307/452 of IPC was registered against him in the Clement Town police station. A team has been formed to arrest one more accused Anit, resident of Manglaur, Haridwar.
It should be mentioned here that a sharpshooter who had taken part in a national level shooting competition Saurabh alias Varun Choudhary was arrested after he allegedly fired outside the house of a woman advocateRekha Mittal at Sewlakala near Shimla Bypass Road in Patelnagar on Monday night. The woman advocate narrowly escaped the shot fired from a country-made pistol. While being grilled, he had said that he had fired to warn Rekha at the behest of the wife of a lawyer Sushila Mittal. Dehradun police had arrested Sushila too on Tuesday under sections 452/307/120b of IPC.
