Chief Minister of Uttarakhand advised BJP leaders who are demanding a through probe in the alleged 2013 disaster relief scam by saying that 'let the past bury its dead' and it is better if the politicians refrain from engaging in digging out hidden skeletons.
The CM told reporters at his residence on Monday that allegation and counter allegation on scams makes no sense. In oblique reference former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank’s role in Kumbh scam, Rawat said that everyone in the holy city of the Haridwar believes that scam occurred in the Kumbh.
He said that it is for people to give their verdicts on such issues. Rawat avoided the question of inquiry on the disaster scam.
