Taking note of the reluctance of many private hospitals and almost all clinics to open their OPDs, the additional secretary health department, Yugal Kishore Pant has made an appeal that they should open their OPDs and start seeing the patients.
He said that major government hospitals are treating suspected patients of COVID-19 and only flu OPDs are functional there. In such a situation the private hospitals should open their OPDs so that patients can go there during this time. Recently the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat had requested the private hospitals to open OPDs for convenience of patients but barring a few big private hospitals most of the private hospitals have not heeded to the request.
