The surprise inspection by the Agriculture and Revenue departments’ officials to check the quality of medicines, fertilisers and seed caused panic in the area.
The joint teams have taken samples from various horticulture department and private shops in Chamba and Jaunpur region. These have been sent to labs for tests.
The joint team of Agriculture and Revenue departments’ officials conducted surprise checks at shops of the Horticulture Department, Cooperative and private shops in Chamba and Jaunpur region to check the quality of medicines, fertilisers and seeds given for farmers.
The teams also checked the records to check the rates at which these items were being sold to the farmers.
The samples have been sent to the laboratory. The joint team consisted of Agriculture officer Sonu Ram, block development officer in-charge Shashi Bala Bhatt, Kamal Rana and Revenue director Upendra Dutt Bahuguna among others.
