The Aam Aadmi Party leader Anoop Nautiyal would undertake a Statewide Uttarakhand Bachao (save Uttarakhand) Yatra from April 10, said State in-charge of AAP, Vivek Yadav while addressing a press conference at the party office here on Monday. He also announced that Congress leader Diwan Singh has decided to join the AAP.
Yadav claimed that the presence of AAP in Uttarakhand has triggered a panic reaction among both BJP and Congress and these parties are now targeting the programmes of AAP in State as a desperate measure. He said that the AAP has taken prior permission to hold a public meeting at Nanakmata in Udham Singh Nagar district but the permission was cancelled just a day before the proposed programe.
The AAP leader said that when the party workers tried to hold a march in State capital against abrupt cancellation of public meeting on Sunday they were prevented from doing so and 40 party workers and leaders were arrested and sent to Jail.
Yadav termed the arrest of AAP leaders as most unfortunate and said that BJP and Congress are now trying to put a veil over their misdeeds by retorting to such dirty tricks.
He said that the both these parties are responsible for ruin the State of Uttarakhand is in today and they are also guilty of strangulating democracy here.
The AAP leader said that on one hand AAP workers are targeted and their March is stopped forcibly but on other hand former Chief Minister Harish Rawat is out holding road shows and no one is stopping him. He said that the party workers are determined to expose both BJP and Congress now before the people of the State.
Yadav said that AAP would highlight the misdeeds of these parties even in wake of arrests and any form of physical manhandling.
