A woman was shot at by unknown assailants at her home on Tuesday night. The victim was identified as Phool Mirza (80), who was living with her son — property dealer Imran in Mehboob Colony, Patelnagar. Around 11 pm on Tuesday someone called for her son who was not at home so Phool Mirza opened the door only to be shot at.
She was admitted to hospital with bullet injuries to her stomach and hand. This incident has once again exposed the claims of the police about ensuring the safety of citizens in Dehradun with an increasing number of serious crimes taking place more often in the State capital.
