Currently, he is having five lakh plants of Napier grass. He has set target of making available of 15 lakhs Napier grass plants in Maletha till the next year. This would help in overcoming the shortage of fodders for animals in the area. Such plant can be grown on the edges of the fields and barren lands.
While highlighting the media reports highlighting the government having announced one lakh as bonus to the farmers who grow 300 mulberry in order to enhance sericulture in the state, he said that he has not received any funds from the State Government as yet.
