Four IAS officers have been deployed for disaster relief works in Uttarakhand and accorded the powers exercised by district magistrates.
Secretary, Personnel SS Rawat informed that Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam managing director Deepak Rawat has been appointed in-charge of relief works in Munsyari and Dharchula with his HQ in the Tehsils of the area concerned, additional secretary, Forests and Environment and Irrigation, Sridhar Babu has been appointed in-charge of Bhatwadi, Harsil and Gangotri areas with his HQ in Bhatwadi.
Additional secretary, Disaster Management, Tourism and CEO Tourism Development Council Sachin Kurve has been made in-charge of the area between Guptkashi and Kedarnath with his HQ in Guptkashi. Additional secretary labour and Employment, Mini Irrigation and Finance, V Shanmugam has been made in-charge of the Pindar Valley from Gauchar to Tharali with his HQ in Gwaldam.
